The Grand Canyon. Sedona's main competitor for your tourist dollar. Many Sedona merchants will do anything they can to convince you not to go to the Grand Canyon; they would prefer you stay here and help out the Sedona economy. But we have found a way that you can see the Canyon, and Sedona still gets your money. These two companies: Native American Journeys and Sedona Grand Canyon Tour Company will take you from your hotel here in Sedona up to the Grand Canyon, and back again.

On a Native American Journey, your American Indian guide will take you to the Hualapai reservation at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, or the Hopi reservation at the South Rim of the Canyon. You will hear stories and songs, and learn about the Native American culture.

For those of you who preferred to be the cowboy as a kid, there's the Sedona Grand Canyon Tour Company. They have western style tours of the Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, and the old minig town of Jerome.

For those of you who want to stick around Sedona, both companies offer a local tour. Native Journeys will bring you to the local Indian ruins, while the S-CG Tour Co. will bring you up to the top of the Mogollon Rim so you can look out over Sedona.

Both companies book up fast, so make sure you make your reservations at least a few weeks in advance.
